Should you try it? Yes or No
The dining options were INCREDIBLE! ! Breakfast was delicious, boasting a variety of flavors that left us satisfied. The location offered charm and proximity to local attractions, making it a great base for exploring.
Unfortunately, some areas needed attention, especially the room decor, which felt outdated. Cleanliness was also a concern, with a report of unclean bathroom fixtures detracting from the overall comfort.

Historic architectural charm, engaging community vibe, variety of guestroom options
Room decor feels outdated!!! Cleanliness issues with bathroom fixtures detract from the experience!!! The pool area clearly needs resurfacing!!! A more organized check-in process could enhance first impressions!!! Dining service inconsistencies need addressing!!!

The staff was welcoming and eager to assist, though
the dining experience fell short of my expectations. Dinner was decent at best, and the service during our meal could have been smoother. Despite this, the quaint atmosphere and historic charm of the hotel were truly enjoyable.

We arrived late and the staff was super friendly, even giving us tips on local spots to check out. The fitness center and relaxing spa treatments were perfect for unwinding after our long trip. The only downside was some noise from outside, but it was manageable. 😊

The warmth of the lobby caught my attention first. Cozy seating by the fireplace created a perfect spot to unwind. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which included bacon, eggs, grits, and delicious coffee. Dining at the on-site restaurant was a treat. the food was well-prepared and absolutely worth the price, adding a special touch to my stay. However, the room decor felt tired and outdated. The shower had some cleanliness issues that I didn't expect in such a charming hotel. Despite the historical integrity, I noticed several areas needing maintenance, like the pool, which definitely needed resurfacing. The staff's attention was friendly, but I felt some inconsistencies during dining. I’d suggest more thorough training on guest services to enhance the experience. The hotel is close to downtown, providing great access to local attractions and events, which I found very convenient. While I enjoyed my time, it could benefit from updating a few of the amenities and enhancing cleaning protocols.
